2020 is Done – Bring 2021 in with a new outlook and new services to grow

2020 may be done, but the spread of COVID reaction will continue to infect our daily lives well into 2021.  COVID testing is the largest healthcare screening we may have ever seen.  The entire world is marketing the need for you to be tested. All news channels, sports organizations, and social media platforms are marketing for you for FREE.  Are you capturing your market or paralyzed by the reaction?

 

May of our clients have had record years while others are struggling to get back open.  Regardless of your situation all you can do is start again.  First thing to do is check your scorecard and get a plan together for next year to be even bigger.  The name of the game in business is growth regardless of your product.  If you are not growing you are dying.  No more just getting by covering expenses. 

 

The following steps are designed to help you take inventory on what you have done and design what you would like to do.  The only way to achieve a goal is to specifically define that goal then viciously work towards reaching that goal.  Laser focus is the key.

 

  1. Review your overhead and gather your figures.
  2. Pull your statistics from all services. Important to define New Patients, Patient Visits, Collections into specific categories to identify services and their worth.
  3. Calculate your Case Averages per service, Retention, Dollars per visit to establish your practice review.
  4. Rank your services in order of profitability.
  5. Design a marketing platform that ensures you increase your most profitable services and set your goal to increase sales accordingly.
  6. Identify services that connect 2 or more of your services and spend marketing dollars to focus your scope. Then track results.  (For example; marketing to patients with disc problems attracts patients who qualify for multiple services medical, PT, chiro, cash, DME, Regenerative medicine, PRP, weight loss, etc.)
  7. Set your goals at least 15 percent higher than last year because you have a plan.

 

This is a simple approach that has produced continual growth for decades.  Sometimes the secret is to just have a clearly defined plan and you will win!

 

In today’s ever changing culture of healthcare patients are looking for someone that they can trust more than ever.  With all the misinformation on every platform of information its difficult to trust anyone.  Be a Community Resource for your patients and stay connected to your patients providing information, not just ads for services.  They will stay engaged and refer others if you teach them how to think thru this.  It could be a simple as providing a needed service of COVID testing in your office and touching 300 lives a month who will come back for more services.
